About the club
Mandurah's leading swimming club since 1967.
The Mandurah Swimming Club continues to be a competitive swimming club attending major swim meets throughout Western Australia.
Our aim is to develop and assist each swimmer to reach their full potential both in and out of the pool.
The Head Coach and our team of coaches provide programs enabling swimmers to develop skills, teach discipline and provide an environment in which swimmers can safely and happily enjoy their swimming.

Head Coach of Mandurah Swimming Club Hyojin "Sharky" Son.
Sharky has been the Head Coach of Mandurah Swimming Club for the past five years, leading the club through a period of outstanding growth and success. Under her leadership, the club has developed an impressive number of State and National-level swimmers while fostering a positive, high-performance culture built on teamwork, commitment, and excellence.

With extensive international coaching experience, Sharky previously spent six years as Head Coach of Manjimup Marlins Swimming Club and has coached at various clubs in South Korea and Canada. She is passionate about developing swimmers both mentally and physically, helping each athlete maximise their potential through quality technique, confidence, and resilience.

Beyond developing athletes, Sharky is committed to mentoring and developing coaches, ensuring the club continues to build a strong coaching pathway and sustainable future. Her vision and leadership have established Mandurah Swimming Club as one of the leading regional swimming clubs in Western Australia.​​
Appointed Junior Coaches of Mandurah Swimming Club, Chelsea Maley, Charlotte Vreeken, Sofia Novoselskaia and Kaiden Buss-Dawson.
Mandurah Swimming club has a strong ethos on developing our members, not only to reach their swimming potential but other aspirations such as coaching.

The club commenced a 'Development Training and Coaching Program' in 2022 to identify and develop swimmers that may want to do work as coaches.
All of our junior coaches are accomplished swimmers in their own right and now have the opportunity to pass on their extensive knowledge to our up and coming junior swimmers.
